Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Using butter, grease a medium-sized baking dish.

  2. Begin by cooking the bacon until it is completely crisp. Allow to cool before crushing into crumbs. Save the bacon grease for later.

  3. Remove the stems from the mushrooms and coarsely slice them. In the bacon grease, sauté, adding butter as required.

  4. Place the mushrooms in the baking dish that has been buttered.

  5. Combine the crumbled bacon, fried, chopped mushroom stems, and the other ingredients in a mixing dish. Fill each mushroom with part of the mixture.

  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the mushrooms for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
