Today I am going to show you how to make a Cauliflower Mash Shepherd’s Pie in a crockpot.
Shepherd’s pie on the keto diet
Without the unneeded carbohydrates, a typical savory staple from the English countryside. With our keto version of this warm dish, you can’t go wrong. The combination of creamy mashed cauliflower and cheese is enticing… and you already know that!
Medium (10 + 30 m)
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
Cook the cauliflower florets until tender in gently salted water. You may also use cauliflower that has been frozen. Drain the water completely. Using a hand mixer or a food processor, mash the cauliflower.
Combine the crème fraîche or sour cream, egg, butter, leek, and half of the cheese in a large mixing bowl. Salt & pepper to taste.
Butter the ground beef and fry it. Combine the sauces and spices in a mixing bowl.
In an oven-safe dish, spread the meat out and top with the cauliflower mash. Finish with the remaining cheese and a dollop of butter, if desired.
Preheat the oven to 200°F and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve with a salad of lush greens.
