I was eager to attempt Fathead pizza, which is a popular low-carb dish concept on the internet and a favourite of many of my friends.

Tips for creating fathead pizza dough:

  • Before proceeding with the pizza preparation, I chopped the peppers and mushrooms and roasted them on the stove (this is just a personal preference).
  • You may cut the dough into smaller pieces and create smaller pizzas.

  • Don’t forget to season the crust with spices (garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt) to give the pizza more flavour.
  • Press the dough flat on baking paper, then top it with another sheet of baking paper that has been gently greased and pressed down with your hands or a rolling pin. You may use a rolling pin, as Lina does, but I find that using my hands makes for a thinner, crispier crust.
  • Bake until the bottom is hard enough to retain your preferred toppings and the crust is cooked through (not burned, but browned in spots).
  • Allow the pizza to cool before serving. If you wish to raise your pizza with your hands, keep in mind that letting it sit will

make the crust much harder.


  • 3/4 cup Mandelmehl/Mehl/Mehl/Mehl/Mehl/Me
  • 1 and 3/4 shredded mozzarella cheese bags
  • a couple of teaspoons of cream cheese (1 ounce)
  • 1 egg
  • , seasoned with a pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon herbs from Italy
  • Pizza toppings that you want on your pizza (tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, bell pepper, etc.)

1 Preheat the oven to 425 °F.

2 In a microwave-safe bowl, combine almond flour and mozzarella cheese. Microwave for one minute after adding the cream cheese. Microwave for another 30 seconds after stirring.

3 Whisk together the egg, salt, and Italian seasoning .

4 Make a ball out of the dough and put it between two pieces of baking paper.

5 On parchment paper, flatten out the dough into a circular form with a rolling pin. Mine had a more oval shape.

6 Remove the parchment paper off the top of the dough and put it on a baking sheet or pizza stone. Preheat oven to 425°F and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until lightly browned.

7 Top the crust with preferred pizza toppings and sauce. (Keep in mind that if you’re using raw meat, you’ll need to cook it first before placing it on the pizza.) Bake for a further 5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted. This yields about 8 slices.
