  • 1 medium head of kale
  • 8 tablespoons butter (1 stick)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 to 8 strips of bacon


Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil, place a rack on top and set aside.


Put the butter in a small bowl and heat for 10-15 seconds in the microwave. The butter should be soft, but not melted. Add the garlic powder and pepper and stir well.
