It’s a proud moment when you can proudly say you’re eating bacon. So when you can cook it into a recipe, you’ve really got something special.
I have been working to change my life for the better for the past few years and in doing so have learned a lot. You see, I was born with a rare metabolic disorder called Lactose intolerance . I have to avoid milk products since they are the main cause of this disorder. I also had to give up many foods that are staples in my diet because they were either high in fat and carbs or very high in fat and fat free.
I just got home from a workout and I was in the mood for a burger but I didn’t have any hamburger buns, so I was thinking that I could just throw that together with some ground beef and some bacon and I had an idea for something that I could call a keto burger casserole. It sounded like a good idea and I decided to research a keto casserole recipe, and I found that there was a recipe on the internet that called for ground beef, bacon, cream of chicken soup and some cheese, but I needed to find some ground beef that was bacon flavored, and that took some time. Bacon burger casserole on the keto diet
In keto heaven, a cheeseburger? Sure. In a keto casserole, combine your “two all beef patties, special sauce, tomatoes, cheese, pickles…” AND bacon. Then dive in and have a good time!

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Grease a 9” (22 cm) circular casserole dish that holds 2 quarts.
Cook the bacon in a large frying skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set it aside, leaving the grease in the pan.
Increase the heat slightly and add the ground meat to the same pan. Fry, stirring constantly, until the ground meat is well cooked. If desired, drain some of the fat from the meat after it has been cooked.
Toss in the dill pickles and tomatoes with minced garlic, salt, pepper, and 2/3 of the cheese in the pan.
In a casserole dish, combine the ground beef and bacon.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, and tomato sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Pour the egg mixture over the ground beef, then top with the remaining cheese.
Bake the casserole for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve with lettuce on the side.
