For example, the recipe contains one cup of sugar, but it’s no problem to reduce it to three quarters or even half a cup if you’re trying to reduce your sugar intake. Other additives such as raisins, chopped nuts or chocolate chips are all excellent. They add colour and texture, and kids can’t get enough! The type of flour can also be varied, so do not hesitate to replace it with wholemeal flour, gluten-free flour or most other common types of flour.
Classic banana bread Recipe
Preparation time : Ten minutes. Kitchen time: 50 minutes. Serve: 10. calories (via diet) : 230. Carbohydrates (per portion): 41 gr.
- 1 ½ Universal glass flour (single)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda (baking powder)
- ⅔ cup of brown sugar, tightly packed
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 ripe bananas
- ½ cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Two eggs, slightly cracked.
- ¼ Cutting oil, melted and chilled.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Lightly grease the moccasin pot at 8½ x 4½ inches, then line the sides and bottom with parchment paper. Leave the paper hanging slightly on the sides so that you can easily remove the bread during preparation.
- Sieve the flour, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon into a large bowl and stir with a spoon until all ingredients are well mixed. Make a depression in the middle and put it aside.
- Puree the bananas in the middle bowl with a fork and then add the milk, vanilla, eggs and butter. Mix the ingredients together before you put them together and then pour them into the well you made with the dry ingredients. Stir to a smooth mass, then scoop into a prepared can. Use a knife or spoon to smooth the top of the bread.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top of the bread is golden brown and a skewer is placed in the middle of the bread and comes out clean. Take the pot out of the oven and let it cool for five minutes before putting it on the rack. Allow it to cool completely before cutting and feeding.
A quick tip: For a change, you can pour the batter into the pans and fry muffins. It’s a good option for school meals because they don’t dry out so quickly. Follow the instructions above, but don’t forget that it only takes about 20 minutes to bake your cupcakes. Place a toothpick, and when it comes out clean, they’re done.

How fast do bananas ripen?
There is nothing more frustrating in life than waking up on a Saturday morning and making banana bread, only to discover that the bananas are hardly yellow. Fortunately, this obstacle should not prevent you from doing so. There are two options for the ripening of bananas, which we will now investigate.
Option 1: Furnace method

How to keep banana bread moist
Nobody likes old-fashioned banana bread! A good way to keep your bread fresh for a few days is to pack it as tightly as possible. First you want the bread to cool down completely, then you wrap it in a plastic sheet so that there are no more holes in it. After packing, place it in an airtight container or in a large plastic bag with a zipper. The bread is kept on the counter for 3-4 days or can be cooled for up to a week.
Once the banana bread is stale, it doesn’t mean it has to be thrown away. Bread can be brought back to life by cutting it into a toaster. Another possibility is to put a piece of oil in the hot pan and fry slices like French toast. How to freeze banana bread
Banana bread is excellent for freezing and can be kept in the freezer as whole, half or sliced bread. It is best to wrap them in aluminium foil and then place them in a sealed freezer bag. Remove all air before freezing. With this storage, banana bread will last up to four months. After this period, the bread will still be edible, but it will start to lose its quality.
Thawing slices of banana bread is easy. If you have time, just leave it on the worktop and it will be ready to use in half an hour. If you’re in a hurry, put it in the microwave for 20 to 30 seconds or throw it in the toaster like normal toast.
To melt a whole banana bread, you leave it on the couch in aluminum foil for a few hours and then it’s ready to eat. You can also place the bread in a cold oven with the remaining film and set the temperature to 350°F. Set the timer to 30-40 minutes and when you come back, the bread should be pleasantly warmed up as if you had just baked it.

You can use a banana marking fork and the process is quick and easy. However, if you want to use a dummy blender or a hand blender to make banana bread, you can also use a blender before mowing the bananas. Break the fruits into pieces and put them in a bowl, then start stirring at low speed. If they start stomping, increase the speed of the blender until you are satisfied with the consistency of the banana. It is not necessary to wash the blender before using it in the next steps of the recipe. That’s a bonus, because you don’t have to worry twice about washing the machine!
